Detroit city people tried hard to design a flag that represents the city history. We should give an “A” for the effort. The four quadrants represent the nations that have ruled the city. Fleur de Lys for France, three lions for England, and stars and stripes for U.S.A. In case of Maryland flag, quadrant flag looks amazing. Bu we can not say the same for Detroit city flag. The symmetry and no seal on the Maryland flag looks very appealing to the eye. But it looks like that quartered flags just need to have a certain magic touch and not all quadrant flags are same.
